Halloween Festivities! (Part 1)

We have been having so much fun the last couple weeks preparing for the BIG Halloween day, which has finally arrived!

Our first celebration was at the local elementary school's BOO-fest!  I loved seeing how Colt got into EACH and EVERY activity and would not miss a beat!  Cade slept through most of it in his stroller...boo for him!  He missed out on a lot of fun!

So, we started with the hoola-hoop contest!

Then we had a football charm put in the hair!
Here we after our tiger face face painting job by our favorite clown, Honey Dew!
And we even had to get our hair color-sprayed!  Here is Colt in action with the mask to protect his eyes from the spray!
Then we went to another Halloween Party that a local moms group puts on!  Again, more face paint!  The funny thing was, after Colt had his whole face painted, he still wanted to wear the Batman mask!  This was tricky with wet face paint all over his face in 90 degree hot and humid Houston weather, but he was DETERMINED pleading for me to, "Blow on it Mommy...please, make it dry!  FAST!"
Then Leah White, one of our favorite Halloween singers showed up!  Here is Colt from the back with his sweet ballerina friend, Emma!
And a shot from the front.  They loved watching her sing.  Cade was actually pretty good in the stroller, but did try to go "fish" for pumpkins by leaping in the baby pool filled with floating pumpkins.  At least it was VERY warm out!  That boy is becoming more of a HANDFUL EVERY DAY!!!!!!  More on him in a post soon to come!  He is wiping me out!
The third celebration was the Children's Museum!  Here is Batman Colt in the pumpkin patch!
And more face paint!  Do you see a theme?!  This time, he got to paint his own face!  I didn't get a picture of the final creation, but let me tell you, he had a LOT of onlookers passing by in amazement of all the paint he put on his face, probably wondering what in the world I was doing letting him create such a masterpiece!  Well, I was too busy trying to entertain the running toddler...yes Cade now sprints.  Kevin and I are SURE he runs faster than Colt did at this age and he is much less clingy which means he darts away in a moments notice.  It is actually terrifying because he will just disappear and doesn't want to be strapped into his stroller.  It makes outings interesting to say the least.

And, we had two other Halloween festivities we went to that have pictures from Kevin's phone that I will try to post soon!  I promise there are more pictures of Cade.  That boy is just so active these days get a photo of him is a challenge!  Happy Halloween to all of you!  We hope you have a fabulous and festive day!!!
