Today I am 15 weeks pregnant and the time can't go quickly enough! I know, patience is NOT my virtue! I am still not really "showing" but have gained a total of 5 pounds since my first ultrasound on November 16th. The baby is changing so quickly!
The baby is now about the size of an apple measuring in at about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighing in at about 2 1/2 ounces. He is busy moving amniotic fluid through his nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in his lungs begin to develop. His legs are growing longer than his arms now, and he can move all of his joints and limbs. Although his eyelids are still shut, he can sense light. There's not much for the baby to taste at this point, but he is forming taste buds.
