So today, the nice voluneer today from the English Springer Spaniel Rescue contacted us again with another great option. We are hoping to meet both Kody and Owen this weekend. Here is Kody's story - a bit sad - especially for the 13-year old boy who had to give his dog up. Kody is pure bred and is from a breeder in Texas. The exerpt below is from the volunteer: Here's our newest boy in Houston, Kody! Owner surrender, 1 yr. old pup, needs some training (i.e. rules). Kody is housetrained, good with kids and cats. The husband said if the dog wasn't gone by the time he got home he would be moving out and she believed him. (I'm sure that's not the only issue in that house!) He was mad because Kody chewed his blackberry and destroyed a doggy bed. She and her 13 yr. old son cried when we left. (Actually, I think the 13 yr. old was more mad at his step dad. Kept saying "he doesn't make the rules around here! He can't tell us what to do!" I kept my mouth shut.)
