A couple weeks ago our church did a day of mission called "Serve the City." This was the first year Colt was really able to "get" a service project. They provided a nursery for the littles, so it was a great morning for me and Kevin to be with Colt and serve those in need. We did the Washeteria project where the elementary school children went to a local laundry mat, served free breakfast, gave away new laundry baskets full of soap, etc. and put quarters in the washers and dryers to pay for peoples' laundry. All of this was in the hope to share the good news that God loves us all! Our children's director reminded the kids the service project is more about the message than the work. It was such a great experience!
