4 and 2!

One of our favorite places to hang out these days in the pool!!  Here are my sweet boys enjoying a little pool time!  I also want to capture some of their favorite things these days before I forget them!

Coltboy continues to be my intense little guy who loves power and control!!  To balance that out though, he is super affectionate and is just my sweet buddy!  Our bond is super special and that helps me to get through his spirited ways!  Colt loves super heroes, anything athletic, Finney his stuffed dolphin that he uses as a pillow, his binky (yes still), and his brother, and the babies when I let him near them - I have been terrified of them getting sick!  He won't nap for me at home, but goes to bed early and rises early, but will stay in his bed until his Yoda clock says 6 am.  His other favorite thing when daddy is home is to have a "crash landing" into bed where Kevin counts down from five and then hoists Colt into the air like an airplane, flies him around his room, and crashes him into bed!  He then tells Kevin how many kisses he gets on each cheek by giving him an addition problem like "4 plus 2 kisses on my left cheek and 3 plus 1 kisses on my right cheek."  He then tells Kevin if he wants the kisses fast or slow.  It is a wonderful little ritual we have now at bedtime that I love to witness!  He enjoys playing on his new LeapPad computer the babies brought him when they arrived and playing SuperWhy games on my computer while I pump milk.  He is very into letters and creating words and counting and trying to add.  He continues to love his friends and social situations are his favorite!  He is definitely an extroverted little guy!  His favorite foods are popscicles, chicken, pizza, Chick-Fil-A grilled nuggets, and treats (ice cream and cake!).  He survived his four year shots this past Friday.  Superhero Kevin took him for his three shots that day and won a medal in my book!  Colt handled it fairly well, although I was sick about it all week!  He is 82% in height and 87% in weight so a fairly proportionate little fellow who loves life!  What an enormous blessing!

Cademan is the sweetest and most jovial of them all!!  His biggest recent change is he has become SO opinionated!!  This is beginning to cause issues with his brother!!  He has opinions on the shows he likes to watch, the songs in the car, the way we go, where we park, the foods he eats, etc. etc. etc.  Phew!  It makes things complicated!!  He loves music and jams out to his favorite songs in the back seat.  He has the most jovial of laughs and enjoys life to the fullest extent.  He loves his Baby Bear (a valentine bear that used to sing Justin Beiber's Baby Baby song, but now, even with batteries can't sing).  At night he loves us to cover him up with all his blankets, take the blocks down off his shelf, and snuggle up with Baby Bear.  It is the cutest thing ever!  He continues to love his trucks and reading books.  He also enjoys swimming more than just about any kid I have ever seen!  He talks up a total storm these days, saying complete sentences!  It is awesome to hear!  He loves to brush his teeth with his Dora toothbrush and actually finally cut a fifth tooth in front.  He loves school and his friends, wrestling with his daddy and Colty and calls the babies "cute" but other than that wants nothing to do with them.  He is way too busy with other more "important" matters.  He has funny sayings like when you change his diaper he says, "massive poopies" - words his father taught him, and he will tell Colt, "bad choice, Colty" if he isn't being nice - sounds just like me, huh?  Being with him warms me like no other!  Cademan and his daddy have an unbelievable bond and watching the two of them together brings me pure joy!  At Cade's 2 year well check he was in the 64% for height and 74% for weight, so a little stocky, but the pediatrician said nothing to worry about.  He continues to LOVE squeezies and is eating other foods better and better as time goes on.  The boy is obsessed with cake!  (Kind of like his brother was with cookies at this age, except there is no cake monster!)

Well, "big boys" as I refer to you lately, you all are doing awesome with all the adjustment around here and I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for you at 4 and 2!!
Love you lots and lots!
