December 1 started the Advent season!! It has been really fun preparing this year with Colt!! He totally gets the concept of opening up the "widows" to find the surprises. He wakes up in the mornings shouting out, "Mommy, time to open door number ...". So cool and fun!
His intrigue began when we were unpacking the Christmas boxes and we found the advent train his Great Grandma Iryl had given him last year. He loved it and when I explained we would put treats behind every door, he was amazed! We had to go to the store and buy treat, which we did later that day and he helped me fill every door.
So, after a long one week wait, it was finally December and time to open the first door! He was so excited!
His prize - a Hershey Kiss! You wouldn't believe the hours of the morning this boy is eating chocolate...but for a good cause, right?!
And the Advent Wreath he and Kevin made at the Advent workshop after church yesterday. It is so cool we can "light" the candles! Happy Advent season to all of you!
