We started the day by going to the parade downtown. Colt was absolutely MESMERIZED by the floats, big balloons, and bands. He sat on Kevin's shoulders for almost 90 minutes in total AWE of the show! When it was over he CRIED and CRIED! It brought me so much joy to see him enjoy it so much. It was very crowded, so it was hard to get some good pics, but here are couple!
And, here is Colt-boy enjoying some of the "feast"! Well, not really a feast in our house, but I did cook a 20 lb turkey! It was delicious! And we had a few sides and Kevin made his famous deviled eggs - YUMMO! Colt actually ate more Thanksgiving dinner last year than this year! He really wasn't too interested in eating this year. He ate a few bites of turkey, a couple vegetables, and licked the inside of the deviled egg out and told me it was "potatoes" even though he had mashed potatoes on his plate! ;) He really is almost a vegetarian! He doesn't really like any kind of meat and seems to love those carbs more and more each day.....oh, well!
All-in-all it was a GREAT day!! We ended it by taking a trip to the park and playing in the sand! Colt got to burry his feet and run all over the park! Now it it time to ramp up for the holiday season...it is hard to believe it is here!! And, that my sweet baby boy is almost 6 months old - where does the time go?!
