Valentine's Service Project!

Yesterday Colt and I had the privilege of going to an assisted living center for a Valentine's Service Project! Colt really did much better than I expected, although I am not sure how much he really "got it." I am still very thankful we went because I think we were able to brighten some elderly people's days!
It was a beautiful day and the fun started outside with some Mickey and Minnie stickers!

Then we moved on to the trains! Colt did a great job sharing his new "choo-choos!" with Kinza!Once we headed inside, the residents were all ready for our visit. They were so hungry to touch and talk to Colt, and he was quite shy (VERY unlike him) but really did fantastic! He stayed close by me, letting me give the residents each a Valentine's card, and then he put a sticker on it for them, although a few times he said "NO" when I asked him if he would give them a sticker because he wanted to keep it for himself. I guess you can't take toddlerhood out of a toddler! ;) Everyone understood and when Colt did this, I just took a sticker and gave it to the resident saying, "Happy Valentine's Day!"

Here are some pictures with us with the group. (And, boy is Baby V GROWING! When I see the pics, I realize just how BIG he is getting! His due date is 4 months from yesterday - and I guess it really is happening, isn't it?! Some days it is still hard for me to believe!)

Here I am patting my boy's head. I truly do just adore him more and more each day! It made me so happy to see him bring joy to these ladies!I had to include this shot because Colt and my expressions are so funny, and I can't believe the mom taking the pictures caught this! This woman did NOT want a Valentine and emphatically told us this! Colt and I were both a little bit shocked, but we just scooted on by without causing too much of a fuss! A guess there are always a few funny stories when you visit a group like this!Hope all of you had a wonderful Valentine's Day, too!!
