Happy 2011!

Happy New Year! This past week we have been keeping busy entertaining Colt without all his "regular" scheduled activities. It has been fun, but a bit exhausting!

We went to Hermann Park to take a ride on the train! It was a bit chilly, but we had fun!

Here's mom and Colt on the train! And standing by the train after our ride! Then we took a walk by the reflection pool. Here Colt and daddy are by the monument! We also went to the Children's Museum on a REALLY warm day and Colt got to play in the water!

And, talk on the phone!

They also had a marching band there to celebrate the New Year and he was mesmerized!

Colt's favorite Christmas gift is probably this blue stroller! Yes, we broke down and got him a stroller because he was stealing all his girlfriends' strollers at the park. At least it is blue! And, I tell you, this stroller is a HOT commodity! At the park yesterday all his friends wanted to use it and even a few kids we didn't know. Before we had to leave, this little boy was pushing it around and he had such a death grip on it that both his grandparents and his mother had to pry his hands off the handles while he SCREAMED and SCREAMED. His grandma was even luring him with a cookie! Can you believe a $7 stroller from Toys 'R Us could be so popular?! Kevin and I were AMAZED!

Here's Colt on a warm-up run with the stroller down the hallway - carrying balls (NO BABIES)! When we put a doll in it he chucked it out over his shoulder - hopefully not a trend to come with new baby this year! :)

We also got to go to a super fun Elmo birthday party where an actual Elmo came to visit the party and dance with the kids! I left the camera at home! :( But, Colt really enjoyed Elmo and kept saying, "Elmo! Elmo!" Colt wouldn't go near Elmo (still a bit too scared), but loved looking at him from a distance and doing the chicken dance with him! Now "Elmo" is one of his favorite words!

That wraps up the highlights of this week. It was great to spend some time with daddy and as a family! We are so thankful! And, we are so excited for 2011 - a whole New Year, with new joys, challenges, and changes!
