We started the day early (as always!) rushing out to the parade downtown with all four kiddos!! We left the house at 815 and it was the coldest Thanksgiving in Houston in 20 years!! Yes, COLD!! We had so much fun, though! All of us bundled up, with the exception of Cade, who was having NONE of it, blue hands and all!! Stubborn little 2 year old for you!

Our super kind (and brave) friends invited us over for a delicious dinner with their family. Kevin and I were in awe at their generosity, as we couldn't believe they would want to invite a family of six, with four kids four and under, over to their gorgeous home and prepare us all dinner! It was such a blessing to be with their family and they really made our holiday!! There is no way I could have prepared a big meal this year with all the other demands on me right now, so an enormous blessing to be with them! Colt and his long-time friend, Anders, had a BLAST together!! When Colt got home that evening he told me it was the "funnest Thanksgiving ever"...it made me tear up as I really had been feeling guilty for not making it a "true" holiday for him!! Cade and the babies really don't understand yet, but Colty is so into holidays and it truly was a joy to see him so happy!!

It was such a special day with so much to be thankful for!! It is hard in the moment to realize how much we have to be grateful for, but taking a day to step back and reflect is something to truly treasure! Hope all of you had a fabulous day full of blessings, too!!
