We started with the stockings!
Santa brought some fun things for Colt, but it is so interesting how 18 month olds really don't play with things the way they "should" - they create their own toys - like Colt is here, facinated by taking the music CD one of our friends made us out of the pocket and putting it back in. Magical, huh?!
Probably his favorite item from his stocking was a new silicone, banana toothbrush. Now, who can go wrong when you combine bananas and toothbrushes - two of my boy's FAVORITE things? This toothbrush was actually recommended to me by a pediatric dentist whose son loved it - and she didn't stear me wrong! Now we can get even more toothbrushing time in!
Colt still isn't really old enough to "get" the concept of gifts, but he did enjoy ripping the paper with a little assistance from mom and dad. He had SO MANY new toys, it was a bit overwhelming! But he had a lot of fun! Here he is playing with some of them!A new car ramp!
A remote control bumper car!
A new drum!
A new backpack! (Which he loved after wearing one all around at our friend Jenny and Bekah's earlier this week!)
A hooded shark bath towel! (I LOVE THIS and I think I know what Colt should be for Halloween next year already!)
And a new pony trike!
After all the unwrapping, Colt went down for a nap, and mom and dad had some SERIOUS clean-up to do!
In the afternoon, Colt was insistent on playing in the water with his old sippy cup. So, up to the sink he went for playtime - 45 minutes of it to be exact!
Then we went out to brave the "cold" (for Houston) weather! Colt got to swing! (Look at all his TEETH!)
And wait and watch for daddy....
...to come down the slide!
We hope you all had a Merry Christmas with as much joy, love, and laughter as our little one brings to us! Love to you all!
